In an Astana court, hearings continue in the case of the death of 23-year-old ambulance paramedic Uldana Myrzuan. After the interrogation of the widower, the mother of the deceased, Salima Omarova, spoke before the court. The woman, who took an oath through an interpreter, could not hold back tears from the very first question from lawyers and the court. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The mother of the deceased recalled the events of exactly November 8, 2025. In the morning, around 9:00, Uldana called her via video link. Salima Omarova was in a hurry and asked to switch the call to speakerphone.

"My daughter asked not to hang up while she was going to the call. Every mother worries. I always told her: 'People are waiting for your help, help them as much as you can.' She only managed to say that she had arrived at the scene," the mother of the deceased said, barely holding back tears.

Some time later, while Salima was standing at the checkout in a store, her matchmaker (the mother of Adilet Zeinel) called her several times in a row. The seller noticed the persistent calls and asked her to answer. An agitated voice sounded on the phone: "A wall fell on Uldana."

At first, the woman thought that her daughter had entered a store after the call and some shelf or rack had accidentally fallen on her. However, soon a call from her eldest daughter, who urgently bought plane tickets to Astana, confirmed the scale of the tragedy. In the store, Salima Omarova felt ill—those present brought her water to revive her.

Upon arriving in Astana, the mother immediately went to the hospital, but after the operation she was not allowed into the intensive care unit for a long time. Towards morning, when the medical team changed, the mother was allowed to briefly see Uldana.

"When I entered the intensive care unit, I couldn't even recognize my own daughter lying right in front of me. Her condition was so severe. I just wanted to tell her all the words I didn't have time to say... She was supposed to call me back right after the call," the mother said through tears.

Due to a strong emotional outburst and deterioration of the mother's condition, the presiding judge was forced to interrupt the interrogation and declare a recess in the court session.
