A young man was seen carrying a knife in one of the shopping malls in Astana. A video of the incident spread online. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to police, a report was received that a man with a knife in his hand was entering boutiques in the shopping mall. Police identified the 19-year-old man and took him to the station.
During the investigation, it was found that he had taken the knife from home. "He had health issues. An ambulance was called, and later he was handed over to his father," police said.
The shopping mall administration was instructed to take additional security measures.
