The fire at the Astana solid waste landfill has been fully extinguished after 3 days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
An operational headquarters was established at the scene under the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. As a result of the joint work of MES units and the Akimat of Astana, the fire covering an area of 3 hectares was completely extinguished, according to a statement from the MES press service. Firefighting operations were carried out around the clock.
To ensure effective firefighting, the forces and resources of the MES were mobilized.
