Traffic on Korgalzhyn Highway in Astana will be temporarily restricted due to road works. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the capital's Department of Transport and Road Transport Infrastructure Development, from July 1 to 20, a concrete base and pavement for an automated measurement system (AMS) will be installed on a section of the road.

During the works, traffic will be organized on one side of the road in both directions, which may lead to difficulties during peak hours.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to take into account changes in traffic organization in advance and, if possible, plan routes considering temporary restrictions.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that traffic would be partially restricted at the intersection of Dostyk and Sauran streets in Astana.

Details of road works

Korgalzhyn Highway is one of Astana's main arteries. The work includes laying a concrete base and installing an automated measurement system to monitor traffic flow and improve road conditions.

Traffic management

During the works, vehicles will travel on one side of the road in both directions. This may cause congestion, especially during morning and evening rush hours. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes.

Previous restrictions

Earlier, traffic was already restricted at the intersection of Dostyk and Sauran streets due to road works. City authorities are taking all measures to ensure timely completion of the works.

Conclusion

Residents and guests of Astana are asked to understand the temporary inconveniences and benefit from the improved infrastructure after the works are completed.
