The city ambulance station of Astana plans to renew its fleet through financial leasing. It is ready to allocate 1,471,120,000 tenge for this purpose, according to the technical specification of the public procurement. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the document, the station needs class C ambulances equipped with equipment for providing emergency medical care and conducting resuscitation measures.

Unlike vehicles of other classes, such cars are designed for intensive care, monitoring patients' condition and performing resuscitation directly during transportation.

According to the technical specification, the ambulance station intends to receive 20 class C vehicles based on JAC Sunray, converted for medical needs. The supplier of the vehicles is listed in the document as Hyundai Trans Auto LLP.

The vehicles must be equipped with everything necessary for the work of medical teams. The list includes defibrillators, artificial lung ventilation devices, patient monitors, electrocardiographs, oxygen equipment, stretchers and other equipment.

In addition, the vehicles must have a separate medical cabin with seats for staff, an equipment storage system, additional lighting and a climate control unit. The technical specification also sets requirements for the power supply of medical devices, patient safety and the stability of equipment during movement.

The financial leasing term will be five years, or 60 months. The leasing remuneration rate must not exceed 12.6% per annum.

Payments are planned to be made monthly. The first payment on the principal debt is scheduled for December 1, 2027. Subsequent payments will be made on the first day of each corresponding month.

At the same time, the technical specification separately states that temporary possession and use of the vehicles is transferred to the lessee for a period of at least 36 months.

180 calendar days are allotted for the delivery of vehicles from the moment the public procurement contract enters into force. The place of delivery of the vehicles is Astana.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that Almaty planned to spend 3.3 billion tenge on the purchase of 50 new ambulances. At that time, it was about 38 class B vehicles and 12 class C vehicles.

We also note that Kazakhstanis actively use ambulance services. In the first seven months of 2026 alone, more than 5.2 million requests were received. This is about 25 thousand requests per day.
