Preparatory work for the launch of a milk processing plant in Astana is nearing completion. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The enterprise is focused on producing milk, kefir, sour cream, yogurt and other dairy products for the capital's market. According to Vitaliy Dolzhenko, director of RnR Group LLP, the total cost of the project is 6 billion tenge.

"The plant was commissioned in 2026, with the first products scheduled for August. The production capacity of the enterprise provides for processing up to 100 tons of milk per day with the possibility of further increasing volumes, and also allows for the production of 350 types of products," the statement said.

All dairy products manufactured at the enterprise will be sold in the city of Astana and nearby regions.
