Astana will host the 51st UEFA Congress. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the large-scale event, which will determine the direction of European football development in the coming years, is scheduled for April 22, 2027.
The congress will be attended by representatives of 55 national football associations that are members of UEFA, the organization's president, members of the Executive Committee, representatives of FIFA, European leagues, club associations, and international sports organizations.
"One of the main features of the upcoming congress will be the election procedure. It is in Astana that the UEFA president and members of the Executive Committee will be elected," the statement said.
All costs related to organizing the congress will be financed by UEFA from its own funds.
