A driver who performed a dangerous maneuver in Astana has been jailed for 10 days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, during monitoring of social networks, the driver of a "Mercedes-Benz" vehicle was identified who deliberately slid the rear of the car near residential buildings, performing drift and dangerous maneuvers, endangering those around him.

These actions were classified as deliberate violation of public order, and an administrative case was opened against the driver.

"Taking into account the nature of the offense and its public danger, the court decided to impose administrative arrest on the driver for a period of 10 days," the statement said.

The capital's prosecutor's office calls on drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and to treat the safety of other citizens responsibly.
