A taxi passenger in Astana who refused to leave the car and demanded a kiss has been sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

A female taxi driver complained on social media about the harassment by an intrusive passenger. At the end of the trip, the man refused to get out of the car, demanded that she kiss him, and then accompany him to an entertainment venue.

According to the Astana resident, five drunk friends got into her taxi. One of the men turned out to be her colleague who works at Premiere.

"I clearly said several times: 'No. Get out of the car, I need to work.' In response, there was profanity, pressure, and attempts to prevent me from leaving. When I finally returned him to his friends, he tried to tear out my dashcam," the driver said.

The woman also claimed that the man threatened to burn her along with the car if she published the video on social media. However, despite this, the footage of the scandal eventually appeared on Instagram.

According to the Astana police department, the man was brought to responsibility for petty hooliganism.

The case was considered by the Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court of Astana. The man did not deny his guilt.

The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code (petty hooliganism).

"The sanction of this article provides for an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of 20 MCI or administrative arrest for a period of 5 to 10 days. By the ruling of the Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court of Astana, citizen A. was sentenced to administrative arrest for 10 days," the court's press service reported.

The department clarified that the ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
