Police officers in the capital have identified an illegal meat processing workshop operating in one of the private houses. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the inspection, it was found that the workshop had no permits. Finished products were supplied to private shops and cafes in the city.
More than three tons of meat products of unknown origin and quality were discovered. Temperature conditions were not maintained in the workshop, and the meat was stored in unsanitary conditions. Some of the meat had a sharp unpleasant odor, was covered with flies, and showed other signs of being unfit for consumption.
All products were destroyed. The owners of the illegal workshop have been held accountable in accordance with current legislation.
