A fire broke out on the roof of a five-story residential building under construction in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the ignition was recorded on Akmeshit Street in the Yesil district. The fire engulfed roofing material and polyethylene over an area of 30 square meters.

The fire was extinguished under an increased rank. 35 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 14 units of equipment worked at the scene.

The fire was completely extinguished. There are no casualties.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the North Kazakhstan and Karaganda regions, KTZ fire trains were involved in extinguishing dry grass near railway tracks. On the Chkalovo — Zolotorunnoye section, the fire covered 1.6 hectares and approached the rails by 10-15 meters. There were no casualties, infrastructure damage, or train delays.
