The 'With Russia in My Heart' festival was held at the cultural center of the Assumption Cathedral in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The main highlight of the festival was a celebratory concert featuring artistic groups from national cultural centers in Astana and Pavlodar. Representatives of the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan also attended the event.
Irek Zinnurov, director of the 'Russian House' in Astana, said: 'The border between the two countries is one of the longest in the world. Therefore, Days of Russia are regularly held in Kazakhstan, and Days of Kazakhstan in Russia. This concert is organized on the eve of the upcoming Russia Day.'
First Secretary of the Russian Embassy Sofia Galchina noted: 'Russia and Kazakhstan are united by strong friendly ties formed over centuries, mutual understanding, common history, and cultural closeness.'
The festival program included an exhibition of decorative and applied arts, creative competitions, as well as master classes for children and adults.
