A fire has broken out at a storage facility for garbage and rubber-technical products on Kenzhin Street in the Saryarka district of Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, upon arrival of the first units, open burning and thick black smoke were observed. Firefighters deployed hoses and began extinguishing the fire. An uninterrupted water supply was ensured.
Currently, measures are being taken to fully extinguish the fire. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
No information about casualties has been received on the 112 emergency line.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that 14 people were rescued during a fire in a residential complex in the capital.
