A monobreed exhibition dedicated to the Kazakh Tazy was held in Astana as part of an international dog show. The event presented the best representatives of the Kazakh Tazy and provided an opportunity to continue work on preserving and developing the breed. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Ecology, during the exhibition the tazy underwent expert evaluation, and their compliance with the breed standard and breed qualities were assessed. The best representatives were identified.
The Kazakh Tazy is a unique cultural heritage that has lived alongside our people for centuries, one of the seven treasures. Today, systematic work is being carried out to preserve, breed and promote the breed internationally. A special comprehensive plan for 2026–2036 has also been approved.
Such exhibitions will help preserve the breed qualities of the Kazakh Tazy, develop responsible breeding and widely popularize the national breed.
