In Astana, police officers tracked down a man who illegally used law enforcement uniforms to shoot videos. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the capital's police department, the "blogger in uniform" discredited the work of law enforcement officers with his videos. The questionable content came to the attention of police during monitoring of social networks.
The author's identity was quickly established — he turned out to be a 30-year-old resident of the capital. He was taken to the police station.
"In connection with this fact, the man was brought to administrative responsibility for illegal wearing of uniforms with insignia of special equipment, as well as for posting and distributing illegal content. The case materials have been sent to court for an appropriate decision," the Astana Police Department reported.
The police department reminded that illegal use of uniforms and symbols of law enforcement agencies entails liability under the law. The department also noted that monitoring of the Internet space is carried out constantly.
Earlier, Kursiv reported on how in Almaty a blogger Zhuldyz Zhaunbayeva, known on social networks as Juzefina, was detained. During live broadcasts, she claimed that she allegedly suffered sexual violence from her own father in childhood. The information was ultimately not confirmed; the blogger was sentenced to 10 days of arrest for petty hooliganism and dissemination of false information.
