Police in Astana are investigating an attack on a woman who rented her apartment to a 22-year-old man. According to law enforcement, the tenant failed to vacate the property on time, which led to a conflict. A video of the incident has spread online. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In the footage, the young man is seen swearing and lunging at the woman, who is filming the incident on her phone.
The Astana Police Department said they identified and detained the suspect.
«During the conflict with the landlady, he inflicted bodily injuries on the woman and also used obscene language against her. Police have opened a criminal case for intentional infliction of harm to health. The investigation is ongoing,» law enforcement said.
For the obscene language, the court has already sentenced the man to 30 days of arrest.
Earlier, Kursiv reported on an attack on a woman in the courtyard of a residential complex in Astana in front of children and passersby. Police detained her 34-year-old husband and issued a protective order restricting his contacts with the victim.
In October, a man was arrested for 10 days in the capital after a girl complained of harassment on a bus. He was identified and detained after the victim posted about it on social media.
