Since the beginning of 2026, more than 27,000 people in Astana have been held accountable for violating improvement rules, and about 400 more for polluting public places. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
The police are conducting inspections within the framework of the republican environmental campaign 'Taza Kazakhstan' and the implementation of the 'Law and Order' principle. During daily patrols, officers identify cases of discarding cigarette butts and other garbage, spitting in public places, storing waste in unauthorized areas, as well as dumping wastewater by trucks and sewage trucks.
During a recent raid on Y. Serkebayev Street, police identified two construction organizations that failed to ensure proper maintenance of the territory near construction sites and violated requirements for fencing facilities. Both companies were brought to administrative responsibility.
In addition, police officers identified a 34-year-old man who, after smoking, threw a cigarette butt on the ground and got into a car. He was also held accountable in accordance with the law.
The police urged residents and guests of the capital to comply with improvement rules, maintain cleanliness in public places, and treat the environment with care.
Earlier, 'Kursiv' reported that a raid was conducted in Astana on the courtyards of multi-story buildings to identify illegal concrete blocks, chains, barriers, and other fences that impede the passage of fire trucks, ambulances, and police. The inspection was jointly conducted by the Emergency Situations Department, the prosecutor's office, the police, and the akimat. Measures are being taken on the identified violations, and residents were urged not to block passages for special equipment.
