In the Saryarka district of Astana, under the Arys bridge, a man tried to swim across the Esil River but could not reach the shore on his own. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who were on duty in the area, responded promptly. Using a rescue ring, they pulled the man out of the water.
The rescued man, born in 1985, was handed over to ambulance workers for a medical examination.
