In Astana, near an apartment building, a 28-year-old man under the influence of alcohol inflicted bodily harm on an elderly man and also beat a 41-year-old woman who tried to intervene. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident was caught on video. Police have opened a criminal case against the 28-year-old man.
"He inflicted bodily harm on an elderly man while under the influence of alcohol, and also beat the woman who tried to intervene and protect the victim," police said.
Police warn that any violence, rudeness, and aggression toward citizens are unacceptable and entail liability provided for by law.
