A family conflict in Astana ended in the deaths of two people. A man inflicted knife wounds on his wife and then on himself, the capital's police department reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The tragedy occurred on September 15. According to preliminary data, a conflict arose between the spouses.
"It was established that today, September 15, during a conflict between the spouses, a 55-year-old man inflicted knife wounds on his 53-year-old wife, after which he inflicted a knife wound on himself. Both died at the scene from the injuries sustained," the Astana Police Department reported.
Police have opened criminal cases on the facts of murder and suicide. An investigation is currently underway to establish the causes and all circumstances of what happened.
Other information is not subject to disclosure in accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Kazakhstan.
Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that a woman from Akmola region gave a courier more than 10 million tenge after a call from fake law enforcement officers.
