Two route buses were involved in a traffic accident in Astana, and one person was injured. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the city police department, the incident occurred on 10 September.

How the collision happened

According to police, the driver of the Yutong route bus, travelling from the direction of Koshkarbayev Avenue along Saraishyk Street, failed to keep a safe distance while entering the Arqar bridge and collided with the Iveco route bus.

Injured passenger

As a result, a passenger of the Iveco route bus was taken to a medical facility by an ambulance crew.

Investigation underway

An investigation is currently underway. Police have begun establishing the circumstances of the incident.
