A specialized interdistrict administrative court in Astana has arrested a BMW driver for 10 days after he drifted on a city road. He was found guilty of petty hooliganism. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Circumstances of the incident
According to the court's press service, the incident occurred on September 16 at around 14:00. According to case materials, the man deliberately sent the car into a controlled skid.
The court concluded that the driver created a threat to road safety, violated public order and showed disrespect for others through demonstrative and aggressive driving.
Admission of guilt and evidence
The man fully admitted guilt, agreed with the qualification of his actions and repented. The circumstances of the offense were confirmed by a protocol, a video recording and an inspector's report.
In addition, the driver had previously been held administratively liable under Article 601 of the Administrative Offenses Code, which provides punishment for failure to comply with road sign or marking requirements.
Court decision
"Taking into account the circumstances of the case, the court imposed administrative arrest for a period of 10 days on T.," the court said.
The case was considered under Part 1 of Article 434 of the Administrative Offenses Code — petty hooliganism. It provides for a fine of 20 MCI, from 20 to 60 hours of community service, or administrative arrest for a period of five to 15 days.
The court's ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
