One of the largest international sports events of the new generation, Games of the Future 2026, continues in Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Since the tournament opened on July 29, more than 8,000 people have attended the event, according to the official website of the city administration. The competitions are held at several major sports venues in the capital. Participants compete in phygital football, basketball, hockey, martial arts, boxing, dance disciplines, shooters, Battle Royale, MOBA, drone racing, Battle Bots, and other new sports formats.

In the first five days of the tournament, from July 29 to August 2, more than 8,000 spectators watched the event. "The holding of the Games of the Future 2026 tournament in Kazakhstan is one of the most significant international sporting events of this year. This competition not only showcases the capital's sports infrastructure but also strengthens Kazakhstan's reputation as a country capable of hosting major world-class events," the city administration said.

Spectators can purchase tickets for individual days or for several days of the competition. The uniqueness of the Games of the Future is that athletes first demonstrate their skills in virtual space and then continue the competition on a real sports arena.

The tournament in Astana will last until August 9.
