In Astana, on the first day of the republican operational preventive measure 'Safe Road', more than 300 traffic violations were detected. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Police officers conducted enhanced raids, as well as preventive and explanatory work with drivers, pedestrians and other road users.
The main attention was paid to violations that could lead to emergency situations and pose a threat to citizens.
During the day, police recorded about 150 violations of passenger transportation rules and requirements for the use of seat belts.
Another approximately 70 drivers used mobile phones while driving. About 60 violations were related to the operation of vehicles that do not meet the requirements of technical regulations.
In addition, about 40 violations by electric scooter drivers and about 20 cases of intrusive taxi service offers were detected.
The police reported that raid activities, as well as preventive and explanatory work within the framework of the 'Safe Road' operation, will continue.
Law enforcement officers urged drivers, pedestrians and other road users to comply with traffic rules, remain attentive and responsibly treat safety on the roads.
Earlier, 'Kursiv' wrote that in the first three days of the republican raid 'Safe Road', police detected more than 22.5 thousand traffic violations, detained over 300 drunk drivers and sent more than 1.5 thousand cars to impound lots. In addition, 260 exits into the oncoming lane, over 850 violations of the rules for transporting passengers, luggage and cargo, and 139 cases of illegal transportation of passengers were recorded.
