Asia's longest ice rink will open in Astana this year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the city akimat, construction of ASTANA WINTER PARK has begun in the park in front of Abu Dhabi Plaza.
The total area of the ice rink is 6,000 square meters, and its length is 1,400 meters.
A special chiller system maintains the required ice temperature and allows the rink to operate even on warm days.
For visitors, skate rental points, warm pavilions, family recreation areas and public catering facilities are provided.
According to akimat specialists, the project will become one of the longest linear ice rinks located in a park area in Asia.
The ice rink will open on November 15.
Thanks to the technology that maintains the required ice temperature, the skating season will last until March 31 of next year.
