In Astana, on the occasion of Sports Day and within the framework of the city campaign "Astana – a city without drugs," the second season of the large-scale project ASTANA SPORT POWER FEST has officially opened. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The event took place in the Central Park near the Atyrau Bridge, as reported by the official website of the city akimat. The event was organized with the support of the Astana city akimat and the capital's Department of Physical Culture and Sports.

The project is organized as an open city platform aimed at developing mass sports, attracting city residents to regular physical exercise, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. It will run from August 15 to September 5 every Saturday from 17:00 to 20:00. Residents of various ages who enjoy active recreation, as well as citizens with special needs, can participate.

The sports marathon program includes open workouts led by professional specialists, exciting competitions, contests, and interactive street games. Within the season, a street tournament "Most" will also be organized, uniting fans of strength sports and arm wrestling.

The large-scale event is organized by the association of legal entities "Elorda Azamattyk Aliansy," the republican public association "National Federation of Strongmen of Kazakhstan," and the Arm Wrestling Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The main goal is to create an accessible, safe, and pleasant sports environment that gives every resident and guest of the city the opportunity to engage in sports and spend time beneficially for health.

"The second season of ASTANA SPORT POWER FEST and the street tournament 'Most' are not just a series of sports competitions, but an important social step aimed at forming a culture of healthy and conscious leisure among the youth and families of the capital. We aim to make sports as accessible as possible regardless of age and physical capabilities, including for citizens with special needs. Our festival is aimed at uniting the capital's residents around sports and the concept of 'Astana – a city without drugs.' We invite all city residents and guests to the Central Park near the Atyrau Bridge to spend time actively and usefully!" – said the project organizers.
