Today in Astana, a truck fell from a bridge during a traffic accident, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to police, the accident occurred on the capital's bypass road. The driver of a Tesla — a 49-year-old woman — failed to yield to a truck traveling on the main road at the junction leading onto the bridge.
"As a result, the vehicles collided, the truck damaged the road barrier and fell from the bridge. The 71-year-old truck driver was taken to a medical facility for necessary medical care," police said.
Investigative measures have now begun. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
