A 20-year-old driver in Astana decided to create content for social media and performed a dangerous maneuver on Koshkarbayev Bridge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the capital's police department, the young man driving a Toyota grossly violated traffic rules: he drove over a safety island designed to separate traffic flows. The driver recorded his maneuvers on a mobile phone and later posted the video on social media.

"The police established the violation and held the driver accountable under several articles: for violating rules on vehicle positioning on the roadway, using a mobile phone while driving, and petty hooliganism," the department said.

By court decision, he was sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest. The violator's car was impounded. Police emphasized that such actions for popularity on social media pose a real threat to road safety.

Earlier, a court in Astana considered the case of "toilet bloggers" who filmed a "transparent" video on a toilet in a public restroom in one of the city's parks. The young people received five days of administrative arrest each.
