In Astana's Baikonyr district, rescuers extracted a man from a trench about three meters deep, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The incident occurred on the Northern Bypass highway. The report of a person falling was received by rescuers from the 103 service.
Emergency Situations Ministry units that arrived lifted the victim using an excavator and a stretcher, after which they handed him over to medics.
The ministry did not report on the victim's condition.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that a mushroom-picking trip ended with a call to rescuers in the Zhambyl region.
