Since the start of the motorcycle season, Astana police have held about 600 motorcycle and moped drivers accountable for traffic violations. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Astana Police Department, bikers are most often caught driving without a driver's license, state license plates, insurance, and technical inspection. The list of violations also includes speeding, dangerous maneuvers, and riding without protective gear.

Police pay special attention to excessively noisy motorcycles with illegally installed straight-through mufflers and other structural modifications. Since the start of the season, more than 300 such vehicles have been sent to the impound lot.

"A motorcycle is a high-risk vehicle. Ignoring safety requirements can lead to serious consequences," the police reminded.

Law enforcement called on motorcycle owners to follow the rules and respect the right of citizens to rest.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that from July 1, strict restrictions for electric scooters will be introduced in Kazakhstan: riding on sidewalks is prohibited, only persons over 18 with a driver's license can rent a scooter, and devices must now have registration numbers (license plates) and an insurance policy.
