In Astana, this year's repair work will cover about 50 streets with a total length of approximately 60 kilometers. At the same time, new roads and transport interchanges are being built in the city. This was announced by the capital's mayor, Zhenis Kasymbek, on social media. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Road Infrastructure Development
According to him, the development of road infrastructure should make travel around the city more convenient and reduce the load on the most congested sections.
New Facilities
During the inspection, Kasymbek visited several construction sites. One of them is Zhandeldin Street.
After completion, it will provide passage between K. Kumisbekov and Sh. Beisekova streets. In addition, the mayor promised that access to school-gymnasium No. 65, the technical college, and the Bilim-Innovation boarding lyceum will improve.
Currently, engineering networks are being laid and road pavement is being installed at the site.
Construction of S. Nurmagambetov Street
Construction of S. Nurmagambetov Street continues on the section from Sh. Kaldaiakov Street to Raiymbek Batyr Street.
The project should improve transport connectivity of the adjacent area and provide convenient access to the LRT station. To date, work is underway on road pavement installation.
Streets E67 and E68
The capital is also building streets E67 and E68 on the section from Tole bi Street to A. Bekturov Street.
The new road will provide transport links between these streets and make access to nearby residential complexes more convenient. Workers are currently installing road pavement.
Residential Area Prigorodny
In the Prigorodny residential area, a project is underway to build Mestnaya-7 and E522 streets.
The new roads should improve transport accessibility of the residential area, the under-construction comfortable school, and houses. On E522 Street, work is currently underway on engineering networks and road pavement.
From Mangilik El Avenue to A. Bokeikhan Street
Another project involves the construction of a street from Mangilik El Avenue, 40A to A. Bokeikhan Street.
The new road will provide transport links between the two streets and improve access to the Sapphire, Korkem-4, and Kumbel residential complexes. Engineering networks are currently being laid at the site.
"We are carrying out road works in all districts of the capital. Contractors have been instructed to strictly adhere to the established deadlines and ensure proper quality of work," wrote Zhenis Kasymbek.
Earlier, Kasymbek spoke about what new things will be built in Astana and how the capital is preparing for the growth in water consumption.
