Military aircraft will fly in the sky over Astana, Kazakhstan's State Security Service warned. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"Due to a number of large-scale international political events being held in the city of Astana, temporary restrictions on the movement of vehicles will be introduced on certain sections of city streets on November 5-7, 2026," the statement said.

The events will involve the use of forces and means of Kazakhstan's special state bodies, law enforcement agencies and the Armed Forces.

"In addition, from November 1, training flights of military aviation are planned in the city's airspace," the State Security Service said.

The agency asked residents and guests of the capital to treat with understanding the security measures being taken during the important international event.
