In Astana, 350 equity holders moved into their long-awaited apartments in the Atamari residential complex. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Residents invested money in the housing under construction in 2020. However, the developer failed to fulfill its obligations, and the construction of the facility remained unfinished for more than five years.

To protect the interests of equity holders, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit. As a result, the unfinished construction facility was transferred to a newly created housing construction cooperative, and construction work resumed. Thanks to this, the construction of the Atamari residential complex was completed, and 350 equity holders received the keys to their long-awaited apartments.

Since the beginning of the year, courts have satisfied 11 claims from prosecutors. As a result, the rights of 277 equity holders were protected under claims totaling 3.9 billion tenge.

The capital's prosecutor's office urged citizens to check whether the developer has the necessary permits before buying an apartment in a residential complex.
