Astana has solved a murder committed 21 years ago. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In 2005, the body of a man with signs of violent death was found in Astana. Due to lack of evidence, the crime could not be solved at that time.
This year, police re-examined the archive and conducted investigative operations. As a result, two residents of Pavlodar region involved in the crime were identified, said Kanat Nurmagambetov, head of the criminal police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In August, the suspects were detained and confessed. Both are currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
