Police in Astana seized more than 2 kg of drugs and detained a 32-year-old man suspected of involvement in their distribution. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
Detention
The detention took place as part of the operational-preventive operation "Karasora". According to police, the man was driving a rented car and was detained near a house.
In his backpack, a plastic bag with a white powdery substance was found. Examination showed it was alpha-PVP weighing about 1 kg.
Search at place of residence
During a search at the suspect's place of residence, in the kitchen, in a cupboard, police found two more plastic containers with substances containing mephedrone and cannabis resin. The total weight of the seized drugs exceeded 2 kg.
Investigation version
According to the investigation, the detainee played the role of a so-called warehouse - he stored drugs and transferred them to other persons involved in distribution.
Criminal case
A criminal case has been opened on this fact. Police are now identifying other possible participants in the illegal activity.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that in Almaty police detained a man suspected of selling synthetic drugs. In his car and hiding places, 170 packages were found, and later in the Almaty region about 2 kg of the prohibited substance was seized. According to preliminary data, the detainee worked for an online drug distribution store.
