In Astana, 150 Young Artists Simultaneously Painted Abai's Portrait

In Astana, about 150 young artists simultaneously painted a portrait of Abai Kunanbayev. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

On the initiative of the Education Department of Astana, within the framework of a decade dedicated to 'August 10 – Abai Day', events aimed at promoting the literary and spiritual heritage of the great poet have started in the city. As part of this, a citywide art action 'Abai's World Through Children's Eyes' was organized.

The event took place on the square in front of the Palace of Schoolchildren named after Makhambet Utemisov. During the action, about 150 young artists from private supplementary education organizations of the city simultaneously drew inspiration from Abai's life, works, nature lyrics, edifying words, and spiritual heritage.

The children creatively depicted Abai's world through their works, conveying his place and teachings in national spirituality through the art of painting, - the message reads.
