A one-and-a-half-year-old child suffered third-degree burns at one of the kindergartens in Astana. According to information circulated online, 10% of the baby's body was burned. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The child is currently being treated at home.
According to the mother, the kindergarten administration refused to provide CCTV footage and does not acknowledge responsibility for the incident.
She filed a complaint with the police and government authorities.
According to the police, a criminal case has been opened over the kindergarten employee's failure to properly fulfill the duty of ensuring the child's safety.
The video recordings have been seized and are currently being examined.
