The Astana court issued an official statement in response to statements made by Aliya Aitbayeva that were circulated in the media and social networks. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The press service reported that her claims about a fabricated criminal case against her sister Asemgul Aitbayeva and brother-in-law Maxim Rassokhin, as well as the illegal deprivation of an apartment, do not correspond to court decisions that have entered into legal force.

According to the court, Asemgul Aitbayeva and Maxim Rassokhin organized a fraudulent scheme under the pretext of helping citizens quickly obtain money by convincing them to take out loans in their own names.

To implement the scheme, advertisements were placed, and intermediaries and bank employees were involved. Victims were brought to Astana, where they were promised that the loans would be repaid by the organizers.

After receiving the loans, the funds and purchased goods were transferred to Aitbayeva and Rassokhin. To create the appearance of fulfilling obligations, small payments were made for some time, but then payments stopped.

As a result, the courts established that 127 people were left with credit obligations, including a significant number of pensioners.

On December 22, 2021, Asemgul Aitbayeva was finally sentenced to four years and six months in prison, and Maxim Rassokhin to four years in prison. The Supreme Court left the sentence unchanged.

The press service emphasized that the court acts that have entered into legal force refute claims that the criminal case was fabricated.

In addition, the court commented on Aliya Aitbayeva's statements about the illegal deprivation of an apartment. According to the press service, she filed a lawsuit challenging the real estate purchase and sale agreement, but courts of three instances recognized the transaction as legal and refused to satisfy the claims.

Despite this, the court noted that Aliya Aitbayeva continues to disseminate information that contradicts the circumstances established by court decisions.

In conclusion, the press service reminded that Kazakhstan's legislation provides for liability for the dissemination of knowingly false information.
