Astana will host more than 120 festive events to celebrate Republic Day on October 25. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The Astana akimat (city administration) said residents and guests of the capital can expect concerts, exhibitions, performances, tournaments, campaigns and much more. The city also plans to open several new facilities, including the multifunctional complexes "TANYM SPORT" and "TANYM ART."

In addition, an annex to the multidisciplinary city children's hospital No. 2 and an admission and diagnostic complex at the city multidisciplinary hospital No. 2 are scheduled to open.

A rich cultural and educational program has also been prepared for the national holiday, including meetings with literary and artistic figures, scientific and practical conferences, exhibitions, themed evenings, debates and other events.

On October 20 at 17:00, the "Jastar" Palace will host the patriotic evening "Elіm dep soqqan zhүregіm." On the same day, all schools in the capital will hold a unified class hour dedicated to Republic Day.

From October 20 to 24, debates on the theme "If I Were President..." and a drawing competition titled "Menің elіm – Qazaqstan" will be organized among students in the capital's schools.

On October 21 at 11:00, the Sakken Seifullin Museum will host the cultural and educational evening "Ұlt ruhyn ұlyqtaǵan Sәken." On the same day, school-lyceum No. 92 named after Akzhan Al-Mashani will hold the intellectual game "QAZAQSTAN QUIZ" among members of the "Future Prosecutor" club named after Utegen Seitov.

On October 22 at 11:00, the House of Friendship will host a conference with the participation of the Scientific and Expert Group.

On the same day at 11:00, the Central Children's and Youth Library will host a meeting with writer and playwright Zholtai Zhumat-Almashuly on the theme "Zerdelі ұlt – kіtap oqityn otbasyan bastalady." Later, a literary event titled "Әdebiet әlemіndegі tүngі keruen" will be organized there in the format of a night in the library.

At 19:00, the "Astana" pop-symphony orchestra will present the festive concert program "Ұly dala әuenі" at the "Jastar" Palace.

On October 23 at 10:00, the State Archive of Astana will host a meeting with schoolchildren titled "Egemen eldің erteңі."

At 11:00, the Central City Library named after M. Auezov will host a meeting between state and public figure Sauytbek Abdrakhmanov and historian, candidate of historical sciences, professor Kulpush Iliyasova with active youth of the capital. The theme of the meeting is "Baitaq elіm – Qazaqstan!"

Festive events will also be organized in active longevity centers in all six districts of the capital.

On October 23 at 11:00, the festive concert program "Әn-zhyrym saǵan, Qazaqstan" will take place at 29/1 R. Koshkarbayev Avenue. In the evening of the same day, the cultural program will continue with the State Dance Theater "NAZ," which at 19:00 will present the concert "Aңsaǵan arman."

Festive concerts will also be held in all six districts of the capital.

In particular, on October 24, concert programs will be organized in the residential areas of "Prigorodny," "Otau," "Promyshlenny," "Baǵystan," "Өndіrіs" and "Zheleznodorozhny," in the public gardens "Korgalzhyn," "Jaǵalau," "Ataturk," "Aıǵyrjal" and "Jastar," as well as on the City Square.

A rich program is also planned for Republic Day itself — October 25. At 11:00, the Museum of Arts invites visitors to the lecture-concert "Ruhty el," and the State Academic Russian Theater named after M. Gorky will present the fairy tale "The Legend of Er-Tostik."

The Musical Theater for Young Spectators at 16:00 will hold a creative evening "Qazaqstan өnerіnің maqtanyshtary," and at 18:00 will present the musical drama "Abai – Togzhan."

At the same time, the State Theater of Drama and Comedy named after A. Mambetov will show the play "Jas Abai."

In addition, on October 25, excursions to the National Museum of Kazakhstan and the Baiterek monument will be organized for children from socially vulnerable categories of the population.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Kazakhstanis will have long weekends for Republic Day. Thanks to the holiday, residents with a five-day work week will rest three days in a row — October 24, 25 and 26 (Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
