Control over compliance with labor safety requirements at construction sites in Astana is being strengthened. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, First Vice Minister Yerbol Tuyakbayev noted that the issue of safety at construction sites has been raised several times before.
Industry representatives were warned that a formal approach to labor safety requirements is unacceptable, and time was given to eliminate identified shortcomings.
"We carried out preventive work with construction companies, issued warnings, and gave time to eliminate identified violations. Nevertheless, those who ignore safety requirements will not be able to evade responsibility," said Yerbol Tuyakbayev.
The State Labor Inspection Committee was tasked with considering the issue of conducting unscheduled inspections at construction sites. If non-compliance is detected, materials will be sent to the relevant state bodies.
The work of organizations where accidents and shortcomings recur will be analyzed separately. Inspectors will check how fully the causes and violations identified during previous investigations have been eliminated.
"If an accident occurs, an investigation is conducted, appropriate instructions are given, identified violations are eliminated, but then a tragic incident happens again, this raises a legitimate question for the first heads of construction companies," the First Vice Minister noted.
Yerbol Tuyakbayev said that incidents at work cannot always be explained solely by the "human factor." In his opinion, if a worker makes a mistake, it is necessary to find out why he made it.
Special attention will be paid to organizations that systematically violate requirements. It was proposed to apply strict measures to such companies, including the possible temporary suspension or revocation of a license for construction activities in accordance with the law.
