In the Akmola region, a car caught fire after a road accident. Three of the four people in the car were burned to death. The fourth passenger died in the hospital, according to the police department of the Akmola region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On July 14, at the 148th kilometer of the "Astana - Petropavl" highway, a Mitsubishi Lancer was involved in a road accident. "The driver, traveling towards Astana, lost control and hit a roadside barrier. As a result of the accident, three passengers of the car, one of whom was a minor, died at the scene," police said.
The driver was hospitalized with severe thermal burns but later died in the medical facility. Police have opened a criminal case regarding the traffic accident. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
