According to the forecast of RSE "Kazhydromet", unfavorable meteorological conditions (UMC) are expected on September 3 in six cities of Kazakhstan. UMC are forecast in Uralsk, Aktobe, Astana, Almaty, Atyrau and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, weak wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
When UMC occur, the quality of atmospheric air in populated areas may deteriorate, which affects human health. One of the most important factors determining the formation of the level of pollution is the forecast of the synoptic situation (wind, precipitation, humidity, air temperature).
