In September and October of this year, 19 foreign citizens were detected at the airports of Astana and Almaty attempting to cross the state border of Kazakhstan with forged documents. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the National Security Committee, the majority of offenders used forged visas and document forms containing identification data of third parties.
"In total, since the beginning of 2026, during the implementation of border control, 358 such facts have been intercepted," the committee said.
The Border Service of the National Security Committee warned that those who cross the state border using forged and other people's documents will be held accountable.
