They reported that they had gotten lost in open steppe on the outskirts of the city and needed help.

It was established that the children were heading toward the city through an open area overgrown with tall grass and dense vegetation. However, they lost their bearings and could not find their way on their own.

To organize the search operation, a team was formed consisting of more than 200 police officers, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, servicemen of the National Guard and volunteers.

"A service search dog and special equipment were also involved in the search operations. The search team checked the surrounding area and places where the children could be. As a result of the search operations, both children were found and safely handed over to their parents," police said.

Administrative measures were taken against the legal representative of the minor children. They were held liable for improper performance of duties regarding the upbringing of children and ensuring their safety.

Police officers conducted a preventive conversation with the children and explained to them that they should not go to unfamiliar places without adult supervision.
