On Capital City Day, 24 babies were born in Astana: 15 boys and 9 girls. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the akimat, from midnight on July 6, 15 boys and 9 girls were born in the capital's maternity hospitals. The most newborns were received at Multidisciplinary City Hospital No. 2 — 9 children were born there: 8 boys and 1 girl.
At the City Perinatal Center, 7 babies were born — 4 boys and 3 girls. Another 8 children were born at Multidisciplinary City Hospital No. 3 — 3 boys and 5 girls.
According to doctors, all mothers and newborns are feeling well. They are under medical supervision and receiving necessary medical care.
Additionally, the akimat reported that 30 new courtyards, squares, and sports grounds were opened in the metropolis for Capital City Day.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakhstani people on Capital City Day and shared his vision of what Astana should become in the coming years.
And the day before, Kursiv wrote that 26 people across Kazakhstan bear the name Astana.
