A new passenger train will run from Astana to Arkalyk. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, to improve transport accessibility of the region, Passenger Transportation JSC has appointed a new passenger train "Nurly Zhol – Arkalyk".
Previously, transportation on this route was carried out only by a private carrier.
Train composition
The train consists of six new carriages manufactured by RWS Wagon in 2025: three compartment and three open-sleeping. The capacity exceeds 250 passengers.
The carriages are equipped with air conditioning systems, modern safety devices, USB ports, electrical sockets and individual lighting.
Route and schedule
The train will run daily on the route Astana (Nurly Zhol station) – Zhaltyr – Atbasar – Zhaksy – Esil – Derzhavinskaya – Arkalyk.

Also, the "Nurly Zhol – Arkalyk" train has launched satellite internet based on Starlink technology. During the launch period, the service will be provided free of charge along the entire route, providing passengers with access to social networks, messengers, video services, work platforms and other internet resources.
