Intense heat persists in the south and west of Kazakhstan. In the eastern and northern regions, heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds are expected. In the mountainous areas of the Abay and East Kazakhstan regions, forecasters also warn of possible rises in river levels due to heavy precipitation.
