Lionsgate has shown a fresh trailer for the new film in The Hunger Games universe. The premiere of the picture in theaters and IMAX will take place on November 20. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The second prequel
This is the second prequel to the famous franchise. The film is based on a book by Suzanne Collins and tells the story of events that took place 24 years before the story of Katniss Everdeen.
The story of young Haymitch
The new film will show the story of young Haymitch Abernathy. In the future he will become Katniss's mentor, but in his youth he himself had to survive in the arena. This time the 50th Hunger Games are taking place — it is an anniversary tournament. Not 24 but 48 teenagers are sent into the arena — four people from each district.
16-year-old Haymitch tries not just to survive but to challenge the cruel Capitol and President Snow from within. It is his actions that launch the future rebellion in Panem. The lead role was played by Joseph Zada ("East of Eden"). The film also stars Ralph Fiennes ("The Return of Odysseus", "Schindler's List", "Conclave"), Jesse Plemons ("Love and Death", "Breaking Bad"), Glenn Close ("101 Dalmatians"), Elle Fanning ("Predator: Badlands", "The Great", "Margot's Got Money Troubles"), McKenna Grace ("Ghostbusters: Afterlife", "Young Sheldon") and other stars. The director was again Francis Lawrence.
Earlier
Earlier Kursiv LifeStyle wrote that American actor Josh Hutcherson, known for his role in The Hunger Games, spoke about a wave of hate from Taylor Swift fans. According to him, it all began after he attended the singer's concert with his mother and, in a conversation with journalists, noted that he respects the artist but is not a fan of hers.
