Williams and 31st Street in Kenner were flooded. In Florence, Kentucky, a snapped power pole hung over a car lot at Joseph Cadillac.
The storm also spawned tornadoes in the Midwest, causing power outages. Meteorologists warn that the storm will continue moving inland across the southern states.
