The ARTиШОК theatre will present nearly 100 original theatre posters created over its 25 years of work. The exhibition, titled "Vanishing Art," will be held at the Kasteev National Museum of Art in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
What will be on display
The exposition will include posters for performances and other theatre projects, as well as posters for productions that never made it to the stage. According to the theatre team, ARTиШОК will present a collection of this scale for the first time.
The project is called "Vanishing Art." Through it, the theatre aims to draw attention to the original poster, which, according to the organizers, is especially important to preserve in the era of AI development.
'An image can be obtained in seconds'
ARTиШОК artistic director Galina Pyanova explained the meaning of the project:
"Today an image can be obtained in seconds. Bright, rational and comfortable. But the artist has his own view. Doubt. Disagreement. And responsibility for what he presents to the world."
When to visit
The exhibition will open on October 23 at 16:00 and will run until November 20, 2026.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle published a detailed schedule of independent venues in Almaty and Astana.
